The problem with James Rochford's show so far is he is relying way too heavily on visuals for the source of his humour. I acknowledge that he played a major role in the early years of Beau Knows as producer/scriptwriter and what he did on the 'Not the NRL News' segment was funny to begin with, but after a while, there's only so much editing of footage you can do to get a laugh before it becomes monotonous.

In addition, I see Matthew Johns, Chris Page and James' brother Dr Andrew (who's trying to revive his tv stardom after his star came and went at various Ch9/10 shows) got gigs on this show. Another case of "it's know what you know; it's who you know". Everyone scratching everyone else's back. Matty's Melbournian character is completely unfunny (one of the worst he's come up with), Brett Finch is a tool just like good old Robert, and Chris Page as the barman....an unfunny fat version of Trevor Marmalade, and the security guard....that karaoke closer he did was cringeworthy.

Also, there' a reason why Rochford's show is only 30min long (well, to be technical, 22-24mins excluding ads): if it were a 1hr show, it'd die a much quicker death.
