I have to admit that I was a huge critic of the concept when I first heard about it. I thought the ladies would pretend to be what they are not and discuss game tactics...stuff like that.
Im happy to say that I was very wrong about it. Every show I have watched has been very good. The panel are very good interviewers as they have drawn some very good stuff drawn out of their guests and made the interviews at a personal level....kinds like what Peter Sterling does with his legends segment on "Sterlo".
Compared to that yokel show next to it in "Queenslanders Only", it is a vastly superior show. I hope it rates well.

It's a pretty good show so far. I do feel like they need to add an unattractive woman to the panel to balance things out though.

When the line up for the year was announced this was the one I was least looking forward to. I have been pleasantly surprised though. All 4 panellists are very good at what they do.

Vonnie is so hot I've invited her to the shed.

Seriously though it's a very good show. It was tough to watch the noddy interview. Such a brave lad to even do it, full respect to him.

It's not that great, as females they can ask curly questions because theyre not considered intimidating eg Pascoe Taylor and seem like their on your side but like typical females they always fall short on confrontation eg letting Pascoe off the hook with the Taylor sacking.

I can't stand Hannah holis, shes the only one who pretends like she understands football better than the players literally a female Paul Kent

Pitt is the only thing worth watching on it

I agree that I am happily surprised by this show. It has brought a tear to the eye on more than one occasion.

Not sure why the presenters would be unqualified to talk tactics. If they were discussing how they handled "Origin pressure" or something, obviously it would sound false, but not playing rugby league at the highest levels, or even at all, doesn't preclude you from having valid opinions on tactics.

Hollis comes across as a bit of a Paul Kent apologist on the Matty John's show, but on League Life I like her articles. Sampson is very articulate and is always good to listen to,Yates is great in my books as a Sharkies fan! I also appreciate her push for more inclusiveness in Rugby League. Pitt tries a bit too hard in some interviews to be "hard hitting" I think, but offers at least a bit more of a cynical view to counter the general positiveness of the other panellists. Over all, I quite enjoy their work.

I don't despise Queenslanders only (and they have a dig at Queenslanders on the show nearly as much New South Welshmen) but the show is heavily focused on the experiences of the few panellists, which is OK, but not great.

I do quite like Hodges as a presenter though, even if I didn't like him as a player. Still not afraid to upset people, including the Queenslanders next to him on the panel.

Throw a dress on Blocker, he's an old pro at that.

If nothing else making him dress up like a woman again might make I'm quit

just flicked to a replay of last night's Professor Second Year Syndrome and all the audience must be drunk to laugh their guts off at Matty John's AFL character.

Phil Gould to appear of Fox Sports’ League League show to discuss Origin
Phil Rothfield, The Daily Telegraph
May 20, 2017 10:00pm

Phil Gould has agreed to appear on Fox Sports this week.

Yes, you read that correctly.

Channel Nine’s league luminary is switching networks to appear on the popular League Life program hosted by a woman he respects as much as anyone in the game — Yvonne Sampson.

Fox Sports’ Head of Television Steve Crawley approached Gould and his Channel Nine counterpart Tom Malone last week about the possibility of him appearing on the all-female panel.

The idea is for Gould, NSW’s most successful Origin coach, to reveal the secrets of his years in charge of the Blues and his best stories.

Like the day he had a blow-up with Andrew Johns on the main street of Coogee or his old ways of stopping Benny Elias from hogging the football.

Gould is a close friend of Crawley from their days at Channel Nine.

“No one knows Origin like Gus,” Crawley said, “so I rang Tom Malone to ask of we could borrow him for our show.

“He wanted 24 hours to think about then came back and said it was fine.”

It surprising considering the sometimes bitter rivalry between the two networks.

Plus Gus has never forgiven Fox Sports owners News Corp for the Super League war.

“Those testosterone days are long gone,” Crawley said.

“We’ve worked very closely this week on the wonderful Beanie for Brain Cancer weekend.

“We all want to see league doing well and more people watching the game.”

Nine released Gould to appear on the show knowing it would raise interest for their Origin telecasts with the first game on Wednesday week — plus the fact League Life has a strong female viewership.
