Not surprised but sadly vindicated. As i suspected the News Ltd attack(superleague war) on the game was not for the good of the game and the proof is clearly showing in their 2nd rate coverage of the game.
Fox barely covers rugby league. The Fox league channel is 90% NRL, and NRL is a different game to rugby league.
Should be called be Fox NRL.

Oh well, at least Fox League is showing the Australian Schoolboys 2nd game of their NZ tour on Saturday live at 8:30am.

I'm very disappointed that fox aren't showing the Bolivian under 12s girls preliminary final.

Lift your game f**kers.

You must be calling Fox "f";ckers as they are repeatedly showiing "nuffy" union games on a number of channels. .This at the same time some internationsl rugby league is being ignored?

Just another observation related to publicity and exposure of rugby league as a code for kids to play. Whilst at the cinema with my daughter a leadup advert had numerous young kids dressed up in AFL club attire playing on a field. This advert was sponsored by NAB.

because they sponsor it

just like Holden does for Rugby League

would you shut up about AFL ffs

El Diablo. If this stuff isnt told im pretty sure that rugby league wont know. If the NRL are diligent they will take note and improve this poor situation. I dont like giving the training run any publicity but they doing this stuff and its compromising rugby league.

You are trying to warn everyone that AFL advertising is everywhere?
Do you think everyone walks around with their eyes closed or that the adverts are specifically aimed at you?

So true, I saw the same advert while at the cinema with my grandson and his mate, both 13 year olds who play rugby league , while they laughed at the ad, it made the game look fun for kids

Just what does the media dept at the NRL do, they certainly are not on the front foot with advertising to attract junior players. As I said before , AFL was on Canadian sports channel twice a week , and nothing from our mob. I sent an email and asked why the NRL haven't done anything to promote the game in a country where there are rugby posts in the high schools. Got some rubbish reply about platforms the game was available on, nothing in response to the actual issue, they are bunch of Pelicans led by a politician who has no idea about development

Does the NRL read forums the game is discussed on, they no doubt think that would be below them, not understanding there are a lot of professional people who love the game and want to see it improve and spread.

Not that you would expect them to respond, but should they try and entertain a dialogue , guess the petals would be wary of criticism

Not sure? Although their was an interesting thread concerining "what days your local rugby league competitions play on weekends? " Not really assuming much but I did mention in a post that local rugby league needs to.play its senior competitions on Saturdays. I was pleasantly surprised when this thread popped up a month later.

Pictures courtesy of Sky Sports. Glad theyre showing it here.
Sorry, I forgot to mention it's Sky NZ who are providing the coverage that will be shown on Fox League. Anyway, it'll be good to see the game live, shortly after the Leeds v Hull FC Super League Semi. For what it's worth, they do show quite a bit of rugby league apart from NRL - Schoolboys Cup, ESL, Holden Cup, Qld Cup & NSW Cup. There's even highlights of the Murri Rugby League Carnival (played last weekend) on Sunday morning.

I realise there's room for improvement, but at least they have all games of the NRL season live without ads except the GF. It's good to have options & we're much luckier than other eras when they only had a few games shown each week.

Under 20s games out rate other main games of other codes. So the sport should be shown. Other codes are enjoying similar exposure (RU)without rating anywhere near as good!
