A huge score was thrown away (again) but that was an excellent knock from Warner in some very testing conditions. Labs had some luck, but he showed his incredible resolve and toughness, and hopefully he cashes in tomorrow in some more comfortable batting conditions.

Great chance for Smith to put together a big innings too - he has been below par for nearly 2 years now.

England probably guilty of thinking the ball would magically start hooping under the lights, it did with the new ball but they didn't get much out of the old one

Such a great knock from the people's hero Davey Warner. The bloke will never get the credit he deserves tho because yes he is a tiny bit of a wanker
Look he is a great batsman and entertainer with the bat no doubt. Averages just below 50 which is no mean feat.

He will fall short of being in the elite category though that ponting, smith are in though.

He has never scored a test century in England and India across 5 tours in what you would regard as our toughest tours in this era.

His recent trip to England was woeful and in india in 2017 he wasnt much better we needed him to just fire once in that series and we could have won beaten india we were so close in that series smithy just had no support with the bat

David is very good at home. Has made some nice adjustments as a batsman in his older age but is still capable of brain fades. And as mentioned has had a tough time overseas. I'd place him near Hayden.

I think that describes Michael Clarke more accurately. His best cricket was up there with Ponting's.

With the over rates, I wonder if they take into account hot weather, double drinks break per season etc...

If they did, Im all for play starting 30 min earlier today so as not lose overs 😇

There is no excuse for not getting 90 overs in, especially with the extra 30 mins. Umpires are just as bad as the players if they were more in control of what’s happening this wouldn’t be a constant factor test after test.

Strange tactics from England yesterday means we are on the one way track to 5-0, this England team stinks. The only question mark is whether our bowlers for this match can get 20 wickets in the absence of Cummins and Hazlewood although the pink ball should help.

Speaking of strange, Marnus is one weird cat. Consistently yelling "no run" after leaving the ball lol.

You can’t be below par for two years when we’ve only played 6 test matches in that time. That’s a summer.

Also he killed it in ODI’s in 2020.
