Yeah well considering Mitchell Pearce has played all his football at halfback and never played hooker that is bad reasoning. Additionally, considering Mitchell has a high miss tackle rate compared to some, playing him at hooker would be foolish. He is a halfback. Deal with it.

However Catalans are unlikely to release Eloi since he is the regular replacement off the bench for Ian Henderson. The French club has invested in Todd Carney because they want to win silverware and releasing Eloi would weaken the team considerably. The Catalans third hooker Joan Guasch is too small -- circus small -- and not a good risk.
