f**k Faulkner. He owed it to the team after bowling such shit in the English innings. Bowling full tosses on leg for Eoin Morgan was f**king lunacy.

Well it is all you have left.

You were ready to troll until Haddin came in @ the GABBA, since that is all you have.

Was at the game tonight and have to say that Coulter-Nile is a champ.
The crowd gave him plenty and he responded,
He gave his sunnies away after fielding too.

I know this in only an ODI game but we could do with talent like Faulks in our test team imo.

For who? He isn't a top 6 bat and he isn't a top 3 quick (Lyon as the spinner). We don't need 6 bowlers in our test side.

I enjoyed last nights game, a good total posted by England to make a game of it. Morgan innings was a highlight as was his partnership with Buttler. The big finale of Faulkner top off a thrilling chase as Australia snuck home.

Locky Would you say someone averaging 35 is a top 6 bat at test level after 10 years in the role?

Next summer IMO its time to start grooming Faulkner for the no6 spot, sunshine the likely omission. Batting wise he wont be worse than Watson nor Bailey in my opinion, and will add a yard of pace to the bowling attack as the 4th seam option who can bowl more than 5 overs a test.

Yeah I think if Faulkner can bat in the top 6 then Watson really feels the heat.

It'd be great if he can step up but like Bailey, I'm a bit skeptical about him making the jump from ODI to Test cricket as his FC record isn't flash hot.

The issue I have...he doesn't even bat 6 for Tasmania at FC level. Batting 6 in a test match is a fair stretch from batting 7 or 8 for Tassie and having a licence most of the time.

Doesn't mean you replace him with Faulkner- who in your grand plan is batting 3...and please don't say Clarke or Smith! Replace Watson, fine...bring in a number 3, not a number 7/8. You are weakening our batting when our batsman are prone to collapses already! I would rather replace Watson with a Burns, Lynn, Maddinson, Silk, etc than pick Faulkner and reduce our batting. People are getting carried away by 2 innings where slogging was the main thing!

You seem to forget Locky that it was Faulkners batting that got us home in the second ODI, not his bowling.
