Woaksey, he's so fun,
When he bowls he makes the batsmen smack heaps of runs,
Woaksey, he looks so young,
Probably yet to see a naked chicks bu.....

Emotions got the better of Taylor, throwing it away once he got the hundred. Could have used a few more runs. McCullum put NZ in this game.

The difference is bowling ability was the key factor here, compared to Finn and Anderson we had nothing.

Disagree, the difference was the first 10-12 overs - our openers put us in a hole, WTF is with 2 RPO???

WTF is Watling doing in the side anyway? We handed them 10 overs without attempting to score - ad 30-40 runs there, and we're at 300 which is competitive....

Finn was excellent imo, while Anderson got the wickets he got the two openers and a couple at the end... he never bowled when McCullum was going beserk...

That was partially my point, I thought it was very good bowling from Finn and Anderson that put us under that kind of pressure. Williamson and Taylor couldn't get them away either.

Our bowlers all throughout were picked off pretty easily.

It certainly was... Williamson and Taylor were put in a weird situation though, 20/2 in the 11th or 12th over - play a rash shot and the team's pretty much at the point of no return - I think they were really forced to be conservative, but still were more positive than the openers... Watling in particular was not looking to work the ball off the square... Good bowling yes, but I'd have preferred to have been 20/2 in the 4th over...

The game was lost in the first 5-6 overs of our batting, and the last 3-4. All up in that area of the innings we probably got 32 for 7 or something stupid. I know its harder now with 2 new balls, but they've got to even look for some drop and run singles at the start. You can't win batting like that, no matter how unbelievable that innings from Baz was, the pitch skidded on in the evening and it became a matter of swinging pure cricket shots through the line and scoring very comfortably. Given it skids on, I think there's an advantage in batting second.
