dream start to de Villiers' captaincy career in the first ODI. Sri Lanka will have to be looking to bounce back strongly from a massive 258 run defeat. I think Sri Lanka need to call up Samaraweera again.

South Africa don't really need to do anything different, but there is space to make changes in the middle if there is any cause to do so, that said I loved the line-up that was chosen in the first ODI.

Buffalo Park is a sell out, but the weather this morning (local time) seems quite threatening. I hope it doesn't interfere with play which is set to get under way in just over an hour.

moments before the scheduled toss, rain came out, covers went on and the toss has been delayed

Dilshan says he is happy to bat first, that's what he wanted to do. Fernando and Mendis are out injured. Prasad and Herath come in.

not all, but I think most of them should. I often laugh at captains who seem to be crying about the result of the toss.

This isn't actually a bad wicket to bat first on, not that the Lankans' performance so far has reflected that. The wicket is pretty flat and a slow surface, ball isn't swinging much at all. It's very overcast but quite humid.

East London is actually the home town of a very good friend of mine.

unless there is more rain and the duckworth lewis can help SL, this will be another huge SA win

SL cant be playing at their best when the players havent been paid in a good while

All decent captains anyway. You don't want to show signs of weakness and treat it as though it is exactly what you want to happen.

I thought the Sri Lankans did recently get paid, I am sure of it but not all of what they are owed. Earlier in the tour, the ICC sort of intervened.

Oh and the Sri Lanknas are still playing much better than the Indians are in Australia.

South Africa are well on top in all aspects of this game, it is beautiful to see and I think de Villiers is doing a wonderful job as captain and also doing a wonderful job as keeper. Smith still sucks

I was very happy with this match. Loving the make up of the team at the moment and loving AB as captain. I was particularly pleased with Duminy tonight and am really glad he made a good contribution with the bat. I liked that he was brought in at 4, I think it's great that AB is prepared to try things with the team.

Didn't shed a single tear but still very happy
