so who would you send in for the batting super over yesterday ? id like to laugh at you
I can see why Clarke went for Tait, only
defending 6 runs he went for the 2 wickets. Can't really blame him for having a go.

Clarke already picked Tait before we scored 6 runs.
White and Clarke probably should have opened since they were set but can't blame him trying Warner.

I dont think you can blame Clark for choosing tait, but if he had his time over i can bet he wont do it again.

Tait has shown how weak the guy is mentally, I would have gone for Harris, he has more chance to get it in the block hole, and is a much stronger character then tait.

In saying that, Southee was outstanding, it was more of a case of them winning it, then us losing it, and when a team plays that well to beat you, sometimes you just have to accept it. White and Clark were brilliant to even get us to a draw, i was happy with the way we played even though we lost in that fashion, not many teams would have even got close.

I think in the tied situation who ever got the runs whilst losing the least amount of wickets should win.. Was a cracking game. I think Pup should have batted in the super over with White and have Warner as the other wicket.

Harris on paper would have been the player to go for but he also got smashed in his final overs.

I would have also gone for Harris or even Hussey

I think Nannes and Tait's pace played into McCullum's hands as he used to pace well.

I was disappointed in the fact that neither of these 2 bowlers used any changes in pace while McCullum was belting the sh*t out of them.

Well Tait is possibly the dumbiest cricketer of all time and Nannes was just hopeless. McCullum had one of those days where everything goes right! I also think Hussey would have been a superb option.

I have no problem with the super over concept.

We have enough draws in cricket with Tests, and i think the appeal of T20 is that there will be a result.

I hated the bowl off, this superOver is at least a fairer way to decide the game, but they have to look at the speed of it because i thought they took too long to get it done.

I also think they should increase it to 2 overs,
It would give us
2 overs
2 wickets
2 bowlers

IMO that would make it better, and fit in with the T20 feel.

Aust had a huge advantage given the quick turnaround - Clarke might have blundered, I think he and White should have continued - Vetorri made the smart call perservering with Southee when Bond was the normal choice

Warner is pretty ordinary imo... no doubt he['ll occasionally get runs, but he doesn't inspire confidence... and Tait has clearly been your #1 20:20 bowler and McCullum's brilliance aside nothing much changed... excapt 6 runs is nigh on impossible to defend - Tait had little chance and screwed up trying too hard because of it imo

What about that summer?

That South Africa were awesome and far superior to Australia in every facet? Aside from attrition of course.
I was referring to the comms - people alleging that the Aussie comms are Aussie bias clearly skipped that summer, they spent the entire summer singing the praises of Duminy to the point it was sickening.

I would have no problem with the draw- it is such a rare occurrence that you can live with it happening from time to time. At the same time, given that The Super Over was the arrangement, its hilarious seeing Aussies trying to pretend that it was a draw (not so much on this forum).

I agree that Aussies lost the Super Over in the batting department, not the bowling department. Tait was terrible, but he was in a bind. I agree with JJ- White and Clarke should have continued. 12 runs off that over and it may have been a different outcome

I like our commentators- Smith is one-eyed, but on the whole they aren't sycophants. They have always been the first to critique our players- particularly Crowe.

Southee has to be given credit, he was smashed in his first 2 overs then came back and basically won the game for the Kiwis IMO.

Jesus christ you aussies are the most cocky arrogant people in the world, you think your the best at cricket but your not, use played crap pakistan(who NZ beat 3-0 in abu dubai before use) then use played a under half strenght windies an almost lost, use lost the ashes and are gonna lose them again im afraid, use got knocked out in the fisrt round of the T20i world cup, use bet us in the champions trophy because we had half our team injured. An use have 4 of 5 of the wost run chase defeats ever to WHO...... NZ BABY YEA. An to top it all off use cheat, you claim catches that drop a meter in front, use take the bails off without the ball in hand, use appeal for caugth behind from balls they dont hit, use dont walk when you know youve hit it, use complain like hell to the umpires when use start to lose. i guess the sayings true once a cheater always a cheater. An by they way i play club cricket in aus in darwin an there the same in that aswell they try to make me do it but im not a cheat like them.
- We actually are the best at one-day cricket in the world.
- When did we almost lose to the Windies? I think they came close to us in one match maybe? :?
- Going to lose the Ashes again? When was the last time we lost the Ashes on Australian soil? With Flintoff gone England have no chance.
- Excuses for the champions trophy? What a surprise there.
- at your rantings about cheating
Oh Yea an who's that leage world champions NZ baby, An who hasnt beatin use for years in rugby AUS or had the bledisloe cup for 10 years AUS. Teabags
- League World Champions? Yeah, you won the last world cup. But where were you in the 2009 FOUR NATIONS? That's right, you missed the final...
Bledisloe Cup? Is that some penalty goal shootout they play once or twice a year? :?
