50 up for Brook.
I sense the fightback is well and truly on.
Predicting Brooks to get a ton, and Stokes to add considerably when he gets in.

Henry and O'Rourke causing all manner of difficulties, while at the other end we're conceding about 8 an over...

Excellent 100 that, lots of plays and misses, but lots of brilliant shotmaking too - dictating terms!

7 down at tea, Brook’s innings ends. He’s been brilliant, but so has Henry imo, could have had a few more. 259/7

Dunno how the f**k we won in India…

Young has to play for Conway, ideally Latham would go too, Phillips to 6 and a new keeper unless Blundell does well tomorrow…. None of these things will happen under Stead

96/7. Three passengers in the top 6 ((Vonway, Latham and Blundell) and the Poms bowling better than us…. Just awful, no plan with the bat and not brave enough to get Young in there… interesting contrast with the removal of Wagner who had earned a lot more protection than any of those 3

Brandon Carse looks like a find for England and someone to look out for next year's ashes.

Looked on cricinfo to see where he was born though and of course it was South Africa.

England's true nursey for test cricketers because they sure as hell don't develop many home grown

In fairness, recent players Broad, Anderson,, Cook plus Root all regarded as English greats are as pommie as bad weather.

Brook is the game's new star bat, also home grown. Atkinson too.
