I'm glad that SAfrica won the the first one so convincingly, but I am sad that I am not watching cricket tonight:(. Second test starts on the night of the first India Australia test. I am very excited\\\\:D/

In news about this game, Nuwan Kulasekara and Dhammika Prasad have been added to the Sri Lankan squad. SAfrican second test squad will be named in a few days, can't really see the team changing though (but I would be happy to replace Prince).

last season was freaking awesome, the last 3 Ashes tests all on right before the South Africa India tests.

This time should be better for Australia though and South Africa too, that just strangely works out.

South Africa yes. Australia maybe. Depends if they can actually roll India for under 400 at any stage in the series.

Australia will not lose any test in this series by the same margin as any of their losses last Summer. I am very confident of that.

I am also confident that Australia's bowling attack is much better than India's and India will not have seen much of them, which works well for Australia

No doubt their attack is better than Indias, I don't think I ever said they weren't. Doesn't mean it is anything much above average though. And when you have Sehwag up top who could destroy that attack plus two of the best batsmen in the world at 3 and 4 along with Laxman. Like I said it could be a struggle to dismiss them for under 400 too often.

I guess a lot depends on what sort of pitches are produced, but I am very positive Australia will perform a lot better than they did against England. That said, India will probably perform better than they did against England as well.

I'm not sure what make you so sure of that apart from England being a better side. Australia haven't added anyone bar Pattinson who is an improvement from the side that played England. Sure the batsmen should perform a bit better against a weaker attack but can't set the bowlers performing much better.

I see the unknown factor as being particularly helpful for the Australian bowling ranks, I do think it should be a good series, but I think India can only really compete with the bat whereas England were all over Australia in all facets of the game. I also don't see any reason Australia can't match anything India does with the bat (for different reasons, but the factors at work should slightly favour Australia - India just have more batting talent), I really think the Australian stock as sufficient for accounting for India this Summer.

If Zaheer Khan is fully fit for the whole tour, these things even out a fair bit

Probably mentioned somewhere but Sri Lanka have not won a test since Murili retired (15 tests). It will be 16 tests after this one.

Despite just turning 22, Chandimal has done his apprenticeship in First Class cricket. Almost 3000 runs with a average close to 60.
