Another thing that has been hindering the Bangladeshi cricket team is the umpiring. Yes Zim got bad calls but Bangladesh's were way worse and more occured more frequently compared to Zim's. Im trying to be neutral here. Ashraful was given out LBW to a ball that was going well beyond leg. It was the worst decision i've seen in a while. This was when Bangladesh were trying to build on a lead.
So I guess there was no DRS implemented, which is of course ridiculous.
In that regard the ICC is frustratingly backward, there are systems which can take out the howlers and make these contests fair and a standard has still not been applied because of a minority (India) still griping about those 10% of calls that are 50/50.
The technology assistance isn't perfect, but it never will be and its a hell of a lot better than human umpires alone. There is no argument to that.
I think it's essential for ICC to get DRS in for the lower ranked teams. They suffer the worst when it comes to bad decisions compared to the top teams.
A shame that there isn't a decider. Well done to Bangladesh for coming back strongly. They would have been better off in the 1st test if they had a warm up match.
