I never thought I would rate two of these three in my top three but here goes: 3 Hilder 2 Bird 1 Simmons.
I thought most of them were outstanding though.Other mentions to Vagana,
Nuts, Stevo, Sully and I am loving Phil leulai.Gallen was awesome as usual but was our worst as far as handling errors goes...I love Isemonger but aside from some nice defense when we were out on our feet and he was fresh,he doesnt add that much as a guy coming on in the 60th minute...give him more time or pick someone else...outstanding month for the lads! 4/4 away games and one without our best player/captain...inspiring.

3 - Gallen
2 - Vagana
1 - Peachey

I was a bit concerned in the 2nd. 1/2 when our blokes reverted to errors but, to their credit, they overcame that and went on to win.

3. Vagana - Probably his best game for us since arriving, certainly the best I've seen him play live.

2. Mellor - Great tries, some good passes (for a guy who gets hammered for his sometimes poor passing) and the sort of defence (for most of the game) that only experience brings. Would have got 3 if he hadn't stood and watched Wesser run past for that try.

1. Peach - I felt lucky just being able to watch him today...And with Wesser at the back for the Pennies, there was some great footy being played, how are those two under the big bombs?

Gallen was good, but his high shot and poor handling spoiled an otherwise solid and honest effort. Hilder was great. Nuts was...Nuts. Bails was also great, kept things rocking up the middle. But a backs game today.

Just a thought...Is anyone bothering to add these points up each week? Can they go on the den Dread?

IMO the whole team deserves the points today, No Noddy, Dykes off early, Bird stepped up the whole team rallied together and hung in there.

1) I give 1 point to Stevo for that 5/8th styled pass out the backs
that lead to Covells 2nd try.Very flamboyant on his part.
2) I allocate 2 points to Mr Gallen for scoring a try
without the use of sidesteps what so ever.
3) I award 3 points to his Excellency Master Hilder for the
the timely use of "extreme blood spillage". Superb stuff.

3 Points – David Peachey: That’s right, rub your eyes and check again. And no, I haven’t spelt Paul Gallen with a “Peachey”. He tackled well, didn’t pester the referee and was composed when his team needed him to be. But he didn’t just get the points via not screwing up; he did a lot of things that ensured the Sharks victory. He set up scintillating runs for Vagana and Simmons, created a try out of nothing for Mellor and was back to his incredible self under the high ball.

2 Points – Jason Stevens: Phenomenal performance where the big man once again comprehensively outplayed his much younger opposition counterparts. Made metres all day long and just as Vagana’s runs broke the game open again, it was Stevo’s hit-ups that gave the Sharks the go-forward to do it.

1 Point – David Simmons: For Mighty Shark and all the other Fluffy Wuffys.

I notice no one has given this bloke points, but i personally thought he had a pearler of a game and should maybe give Reece Williams the move to the bench as I thi k he lacks mongrel, what are your thoughts?

I think Loo Loo only stood out because of his couple of good runs. He's going OK but his workrate is only comparable to Williams. I'd say leave well enough alone. Loo Loo is on the bench to create an impact, I think we lose that by starting him and I can't see Reece making much at this stage.

I like Reece starting and keeping it simple then bring on Leuluai on to Splatter blokes and try a chancey ball here and there.
