3. Thompson
2. Lisone
1. Mannering

Had to spend 12 hours thinking and really no one stuck out. Lots of people caught the ball, none did much at all with it.

Manu and Lisone were the only ones moving at any great pace..and maybe Kata.

Wish Lolo and RTS would bring the ball back in at least the same fashion as Boyd....though i realise they are trying to step through the line.

Thompson (got involved, looked threatening)
Matulino (hit like a truck in D, offloaded)
Kata (ran hard, didn't drop the ball or jersey grab)

hon mentions Lisone, Manu, Gavet and Luke

Only minus points for Hoffman, too many basic errors for a guy of that calibre.

The worry for me is that even with individuals all putting in we lose by 15 and only score 1 try. Sure injuries play a part, but there is a serious lack of directionb from the coach's box. Oh Ivan, where art thou?

Gavet was very good, the temptation to get stuck into some ex clubmates would be strong, but I was impressed with his discipline.. Blair tried his best to rark him up..

Agreed. Showed mongrel, didn't give away penalties. He's looking like a good signing, and with the way Lisone played I'm understanding why Vete is being kept out right now. I'm wondering if Albert is falling foul of the reduced interchange rule too, maybe they think his motor isn't motor up to it.

The frustrating thing about this week is if they'd put in like that against the Tigers they'd have won comfortably. Im really worried we're gonna fall into a pattern of trying hard and losing honourably to the good sides then not turning up and getting spanked by the shit sides this year. We need a better coach, simple.

Manu

Seeing bits and pieces of effort, but the 'stars' are not gelling at all

3. Lillyman - talk of his retirement is greatly...
2. Lisone - what a hit, young man. Let's have more of that.
1. Kata - much better. Less flakiness and soft defence (hidden behind scoring tries) and more allround effort. He was quite rugged on defence!

Thompson and Gavet were very good too, no way I wouldn't have given Thompson points if others hadn't.
There was a physicality in this performance which was much to like. Combine that with scoring tries - and winning - and we're home. Too simple!

Just saw a tweet/ Instagram by Luke holding a baby that looked either premature or had been sick? Saying finally a cuddle. As professional as anyone is, hard to focus and be at 100% if that is happening in behind the scenes with family, esp kids.

Yep, I saw this on instagram. Girl was hooked up to tubes after birth so no criticism coming from my direction. With a young girl of my own I know how scary it can be and I've not had anything like that (touch wood). So having changed countries, two other kids, this young girl etc I can definitely cut him some slack. And he was good on Friday, if not a bit unfit.
