1. Lolohea. Ran and distributed well at 6. Dominated at fullback.

Watch the game again, he didn't dominate at fullback. He scored a try out of dummy half a usual halves area as we know. He only brought it back well on the kick return.

Definitely had a good game but it's cos of the short lived stint in the halves. Imagine RTS never got injured..Tui would've went on to show why he's the half we need.

Actually yeah, why did Lisone get so little minutes, he was absolutely on fire when he was on

The way I saw it he was playing in the halves on attack and then defending at FB. Probably how we'll need to do it next week, name TL in the halves and defend him there but have Tui play #6 on the attacking sets.

3. Lolohea.
2. Thompson.
1. Lillyman.

Still can't quite believe it.
How can a side change so much in a week?
Good coaching?

There was a hint of some tough coaching, putting guys on notice, etc.

They almost definitely had stern words with young Lisone, it may have only been, 'what you did at the end of last week's game was not on, but I'm starting you next week. Why?, you may ask. Well, son, I want to see what you can really do, and if it's nothing special you'll be in reserve grade after that.'

If the spine does their job when the forwards are going well then it's very easy for them to get overshadowed, and this game is no exception. Could easily give points to a few different forwards but when it comes down to it Lolohea/SJ were both responsible for creating or were involved in every try and that's hard to ignore.

Lisone started the game well, but was he injured in the second half? Right before the last Dogs try he could barely walk. Not sure if he was favouring a shoulder, suffered a concussion, or was just flat out exhausted.

I don't think they need to watch the game again. This isn't 1984. Fullbacks don't just take kicks and tackle anymore. Tuimoala had a great game at fullback. The back three, which for the majority of the game was part of, were excellent in kick defusals and bringing the ball back. He was playing both sides of the ruck, chiming in as the extra man which is typical of a class fullback, as per Blake Ayshford's second try.

If he's at FB next week he should actually take a leaf from his predecessor- Tomkins might have been a bit ordinary at the more fullbacky bits of fullback play (taking kicks and last line D) but he was very good at the extra playmaker part that Iafeta is referring to.

3. Lolohea - an absolute superstar. The closer he is to the ball the better.
2. Johnson - much improved, kicking game in the second half was good.
1. Fusitua - was safe as houses, got targeted all night and didn't let us down.

Honorable mentions to Lillyman and Lisone. Both were great. Ayshford did well too and is probably the best defensive centre we've had since Tate or even possibly Ropati.

1. going to give it to Thomas. before the game he was probably told that he would be coming on in the forwards but after the first quater he was in the halved and didnt let the team down

Yeah this for me will do. Agreed re TL - he was excellent and crisp - really enabled the backline to flourish by running hard angle out, then in at the defensive line before offloading. Excellent work.
