Plenty of guys were really unlucky to miss out, particularly Logan and Tongue - the fact that they play this well every week probably counts against them when the whole team turns up.
As with c_r2k2 I was spewing at kick off when I saw Best roll out but he was fantastic. Cross also made a solid debut, and I grow fonder of the Milne/Zillman/Goodwin back three combination every week. Speed is a valuable commodity, and the Raiders haven't consistently had it out wide for years.
Zillman's game was one of the real highlights I thought. Fair enough, it's easier to make try saving tackles when your leading the game by 30 points than when your behind by 4 - but a couple of those tackles, particularly the one on growth, went way beyond my expectations at this point. Also on a couple of occasions Zilly (albeit unspectacularly) got into first reciever and ran a couple of plays. Given his experience in the halves I really think that using Zilly as both a ball player and a ball runner (Bowen/Hunt/Lockyer style of fullback) is one way that the Raiders can diversify their attack and really threaten good opponents.
Withers, Dobbo and Campo were all magnificent, but it is no coincidence that this came on the back of our dominance up front. Withers and Tongue look dangerous around the rucks after nearly every hit up that Logan makes.
