First one for the season...

3. Townsend - our best back, shone over Johnson.
2. Manu - always strong, always present. Took four Eels to stop his charges out of the twenty.
1. Kata - heaps of positive energy.

3. Hoffman - Best buy since Steve Price.
2. Townsend - Assured performance. We needed it, given Johnson's struggles and Tomkins having a quieter game before coming off.
1. Leuluai - Only bad thing about his performance was he didn't play 80. Completely dominated the ruck area.

Unlucky - Manu, SighMan, Matulino, Kata

Not going to give points til I watch a replay, but when I do they'll be from Vatuvei, Mannering, Matulino, Hoffman, Townsend, and Leuluai. Special mentions to the last two who really answered the critics today. Now we just need Johnson to do the same, though I thought he still did his job well today for the most part.

Johnson seems off, is he sulking?
After one try Townsend was doing a lot of the talking.
Wright needs to go ASAP.
Kata seemed passionate!
Matulino stepping up as well.
Lolohea did some great things.

3. Townsend - Best performance in a Warriors jumper. Building nicely this season.
2. Hoffman - outstanding competitor
1. Vatuvei

Special mention to the left hand side combination building between Hoffman and Townsend. When you throw Manu and Kata into the mix, that edge is looking especially dangerous.

Special mention to Manu in the 60th minute when Kata dropped a ball coming out of our twenty. The big guy was obviously taking his time to settle the young fella down and get his head back in the game. None of this 'pat you on the bum and tell you it'll be ok' rubbish. It looked as if he was really taking the time to offer some words of advice. Good stuff.

Fingers crossed on Tomkins not being serious, without him at the back we went to custard, Ben Henry is not a centre, Jono Wright good as a fill in only.

1. Leuluai - gets the nod ahead of Townsend because this performance came out of nowhere

Hon mention Mannering as usual, Matulino also

If TL keeps this up, there isn't much point in having Friend around is there.

we turned to crap when TL and the pom went off, could almost see a defeat about to be snatched from the jaws of victory,,, or something like that..

Highlight of the night was watching my bro, Leaguenut, bopping away to the stadium music,, he's such a groover..
