Ken's a worry, I did like him running hard and straight off his own line into Nelson though, late in the game. Coaches notice that stuff, but they should notice the mistakes more. My main beef was him not contesting attacking bombs.

Foran quiet, as mentioned, may have taken a knock. Johnson quiet when Foran's quiet? That's not good. He should be a leader by now.

Gavet, Ayshford very good.
Luke was excellent until the Super Sub policy took him off.

Foran went missing and that was crucial at the back end. Disappointing.

Usual suspects dished out their crap, Ken lost it cold then combined with Bonehead Thompson with some disgraceful edge defence. Bodene & Kata gave up dumb penalties. We just cannot afford to have all three on the park at the same time.

3: Fus
2: RTS
1: Gavet.

Ashyford did some good today up work in defence.
SJ kicking game good for most of the game at pinning them into corners but not when it counted with a chip over top when a grubber in goal could.of got a result.
Nice set plays.

Find replacements for Ken and Thompsons we might make a push for the finals.

Gavet initially impressed me with his hard running but have to say his quick play the ball and effort on defense are also pretty awesome.

thompson got outpaced by an outside back, don't think he is meant to defend one in from the wing...

Foran must be injured still, that hammy, he didn't run or do much huh.
'
I thought he directed us, along with Luke and Johnson, in the first half quite well. He also tackled strongly as usual. He dropped some bombs from 40m out just metres from the Storms line. All this in the first half but yeah, not much in the second half.

Yeah he did all you say, but if he wasn't injured I am sure he would have taken on the line more. He did the basics and very well but not what would be expected of a world class half such as he is.

Anyway I'm pleased with the game and effort despite the loss. I hope SK is focusing on controlled footy for 3/4 of the season and then letting the dogs loose a bit once they have basic discipline and good combos well bedded in. Long term it makes sense but hope we aren't out of the finals hunt completely by round 15...

3. RTS - because obviously
2. Gavet - see above
1. Ayshford - see above

Luke gets the biggest hon. mention. Fus was good too, and Johnson in parts.

I suppose getting outpaced wasn't his fault, but I've seen Mannering defend out in the centres without leaving big yawning gaps like that. You don't necessarily have to have speed to be a good outside defender.

Ken was far worse though, don't think he even laid a hand on a single purple jersey.

I'd feel better about it all, eg taking the loss to gain from the knowledge in the future as the teàm learns together, but we loose a lot when Foran(most likely) leaves next year.

3. RTS - he really is something else
2. Ayshford - that set up was perfect, and the shut down at the end - think it was SJ who was offside, not Ayshford - he's not the best, but seldom lets us down
1. Mannering - from a lot of options - he's just a beast though
