3-2-1 v Warriors (Round 14)

After last week's performance where I think none of us thought anyone deserved any points against the Sharks, we are back with a bang after the 25-21 victory over the Warriors.

For me -

3 points: Sio Siua Taukeiaho. Constant charges with ball in hand yielded 142 metres, whilst pulling off 37 tackles. Really looked the goods as a starter.

2 points: Shaun Kenny-Dowell. Continued his streak of good form this season. Scored a try and did some good work in defence too.

1 point: Jake Friend. Were quite a few players who could have taken this spot (e.g. Sam Moa, RTS) but for a guy who played the full 80 minutes, and made a whopping 54 tackles I could not go past him.

I'd like to watch the game again without emotion, but based on first look:

3 - Siua. What a beast. Nothing further needs to be said
2 - Maloney...his kicking game was poor, but his experience and composure got us home
1 - Skids. Was on an absolute mission. Not sure I've seen him run it that hard before.

I watched the game again today, this time without all the emotion and the swearing at the refs. I think I let fly with words my missus hadn't even heard before and she's no shrinking violet, let me tell you.

3. Taukeiaho. Was monstrous
2. Aubs, continues to have that stabilising effect, You know he'll go forward all game when we seem to get a bit lost.
1. Maloney, got us to where we needed to be to get the win in the end. Not his best game but classy enough when it counted.
