I just love Matt Prior this year.... In years gone by, I've bagged him plenty for being a soft plodder - this year he has been an absolute beast.... Hits (with real sting) and sticks in defence - usually ends up ragging the attacker back a few meters too, and has been coming onto the ball and taking collision at 100 miles an hour in attack.... More than happy for him to have made me eat my words....

Fifi was up near his damaging best, and I thought Feki made some real hard yards in our own half - he got us back on the front foot plenty of times.

Agree with most on the Rapana try - BJ illegally prevented Barba having an opportunity to cut down Rapanas angle - just because a try would still have been scored does not mean foul play should be ignored. They've bottled that decision because it was an obvious try theyd have been disallowing.

I'm sure that Prior was dropped on more than one occasion last year. Hell of a turn around.

As has been said before, 3 to both Prior and Fafita, never knew they had such reserves of stamina, remaining point to Jimmy Maloney for keeping things steady. Again everyone did their bit and that is ultimately what counts the most.

I'm not surprised about their stamina. We still don't know if my theory is true but much earlier in the year I suggested that the minimal bench use at the time might be in an effort to increase player's ability to play big minutes.

Fifita regularly played 60+mins I think in his breakout year with us a few years ago. He's always had a big motor.

I think the reason Prior stood out was the quality of his prolonged stint.

Tbh Capewell stood out for exactly the same reason.
