I really like JCs work through the middle. Good to see he was set to play big minutes except for the HIA. The plan looked for him to be on for the 40

Nichos defence is a huge factor now. Plays tough and works extra hard. Does a lot of the shit 1% work that goes unnoticed

Hynes is playing with humility. Most players on his money have to be 'the man'. Hynes is doing his work and playing a role for the team.

The extremes of the internet means that people either love Hynes or hate him. Reality is he is playing a solid role. Defending well, timing his input without overplaying. Is he the player of 2022, no. His explosiveness as a runner isnt what it was. He is more mature but can he isnt going to rip games apart.

JC was our best forward in the first stint.

3 - Hynes
2 - WK
1 - Teig

Nicho was really, really good. I did chuckle when watching matty johns they spoke about how good tricky was. Nicho throws that interception and they spin it different. Hands down that interception was worth it - we pants'd them multiple times before and 2 guys who we hit there score vs them catching it. Play on good play tricky, shit happens but lets not say Trick was the man today. Nicho was.

Nico defence is generally lost on the wet hair hate. He played well today. Really well
Nico has his haters and I understand some of the criticism . Can compare him to a couple other halves and find fault while ignoring his strengths and progress. I still would prefer him to another premiership winning half we had in 2016. especially in today’s game . Oh and the wet hair look is a lot sexier than the perfectly coifed helmet head look of yesteryears legendary half.

All hail the wet prince!

I’ve had a crack at him and his salary I acknowledge that but I’ve eased a fair bit this week. It is what it is and I’d prefer to have him than not have him unless of course it was Hughes or Chin. His tackling has been great also so fair play to him.

I also noticed something different with his kicking for goals yesterday but will save that for when I can point it out better.
