Locke is developing into quite a Billy Slater-esque #1, and really quickly as well. I don't remember seeing as much of his ball playing skills in the U20s.

Mannering ran some great lines, should not go anywhere near the centres again.

Thought our props played really well as well and were unlucky to get the points.

Mannering is pretty unanimous as player of the day. Elijah Taylor continues to impress me with his out and out energy in defence. He is not a dynamic attacking player but he covers some ground. With him and Luck together, the warriors defence works so much better. Hohaia had a good impact at dummy half in the second half. He added some zip to the attack.

Luck was Ch 9's man of the match? I find it hard to ever give Lucky man of the match, he just does what he does without any frills. To me Mannering was the equal of Luck with great lines on attack thrown in.
