Mateo--3
Mannering--2
Locke--1

Good to have Luck back. It's not just the amount of tackles he makes, but the way he makes them.

Thought Berro played well, too.

Thought Rusty had a bit of a quiet game, by his recent standards.

lol @ All the mannering hating before this game, eat humble pie mofos
He is our captain and yes he was out of sorts most of this season due to his positional change to centres BUT he is back!

Now where the f**k is Inu, piss off Cleary you jobber

He's been shit all season and deserved all the criticism he got.

Last night Mannering was awesome and led by example - as he should. Now he needs to keep it up.

3 - Mateo
2 - Locke - another top quality display from the impending Kiwi's fullback...
1 - Mannering

Taylor nearly scraped in and Tupou was great too. Also Berrigan deserves a bit of praise for an improved performance.

Locke is developing into quite a Billy Slater-esque #1, and really quickly as well. I don't remember seeing as much of his ball playing skills in the U20s.

Yeah, his ball-playing was outstanding - if he keeps that up, the kid could be anything. It's his jersey for as long as he wants it, imo. No pressure though, Lockey.

...and to think that a month or so into the season his playing future at the Warriors was looking rocky.

He's had 5 passable games, 2 good games and 9 average-to-poor ones. In 2011 Mannering has managed to combine decent while not fantastic metres with cutting in field when he should have passed to his winger, missing critical tackles, soft errors and penalties at critical times, and most of all a lack of leadership by example when his team has needed it. He had an awesome game on Friday but that doesn't negate the poor ones prior.

Damn... guess that means Taylor or Inu to hold centre for a while. Guess we will see how much Cleary hates Inu next week huh ... surely he'd be the logical choice in the centres.

I thought Rusty was good. I love the way he's carrying it at the moment, has real intent each time he carts it up.

Did anyone else have issues with the CH 9 feed? Didn't turn on until a certain time into the game then didnt work in 2nd half at all. Had to listen to Dyslexic Daryl and McIvor instead. Yuck

Thought Maloney led the team around well, actually. Much better than previous times he's been the senior half.

Okay, this weeks totals:

Mannering 48 points
Feleti Mateo 22
Kevin Locke 20
Elijah Taylor 6
Ben Matulino 5
Muscle Packer 5
James Maloney 2

This is pre-Rich's vote, which he can add to if he wants when he gets back from wherever he was going. Interesting that only three people did not give Simon the player of the day, and only one vote didn't give him a point.
