Some really ordinary bowling here from New Zealand, despite the score. Elliott and Anderson are all over the shop (and McCullum clearly has no faith in them, as he nearly bowls out his top 4 before introducing them), Milne still can't get wickets (I don't see how he deserves a place on proven performance ahead of McClenaghan or Mills)... Vettori has carried them today. This partnership is fairly embarrassing for NZ TBH.

Afghanistan have out scored and lasted longer than both England and Australia today
Top effort regardless of result

Kiwis continue to impress.

Vettori has be in the all time kiwi team. With nude nothing balls, he continues to perform and sheer determination with bat, decent field, ads such value.

Crowe, Hadlee, Vettori, lock ins for me.

Definitely. His ODI record would probably look even better if he had a better supporting cast for large portions of his career. Too often teams would watchfully play him out without losing wickets and cash in elsewhere. He's always at his best when batsmen come at him.

Still say the Brisbane Heat (yet to win shyte) Could do worse than plan for next season to give a couple of Zadran's a crack.

Shapoor and Najibullah.

Get them here a month early, keep them full season, give them access to coaching and other professional players........watch them blossom and take it back.

The Heat should target Williamson too.

Bangladesh is the banana skin game...

If Australia beat Sri Lanka as expected then we'll have an unassailable lead going into that final game anyway.

Even if Sri Lanka win, the NRR difference between the two teams is so high it would take some stunning results for us to miss out on top spot.

Bangladesh is in an interesting situation. Tomorrow's match between Bangladesh and England is going to be crucial. England are trailing by 3 points.

Respectable performance from the Afghanistan team, particularly the two guys getting 50.

Also they got more 6s than NZ (3 vs 1) which is a surprise at a smallish ground, particularly for me as they just destroyed a multi I had with that option as a "sure thing" haha.

NZ continue winning because there bowlers keep restricting teams to less than 200,the day will come when a Warner/AB de Villiers etc etc tear them apart and help there team set 300+ batting first and than donkeys like Guptill,Elliot,Anderson,Ronchi will disgrace themselves in the chase by folding under pressure.

Its coming my trans- tasman friends

Australia had that chance big fella, and weren't up to it - Warner

de Villiers is special, but the Jaapies aren't exactly going well atm

More generally genius, isn't that the goal, restrict the opposition to as few runs as possible, hardly our fault nobody has managed to cope with our attack yet...
