It would be amazing if Ireland beat Pakistan and went through after England missed out.

Hahahahahahahahahaha England. What a fantastic night for cricket!

In all seriousness what the hell possesses them to continually pick Stuart Broad? He's the 57th ranked bowler in ODI cricket and he's confessed he's terrified of fast bowling....a totally rubbish player

I feel like Morgan is wishing he still had the green jersey on.

Yeah it's highly likely that's the last ODI Stuart Broad ever plays. Maybe he gets a sendoff game against Afghanistan.

Wouldn't suprise me if he was joined by a few others too

I repeat again what I said at the start of this thread...

England did not deserve to play Quarter Finals cricket given the way they have played in this tournament and it would've been a joke if they scraped into 4th spot. Serves all those Poms who were bad mouthing the Aussies after the tri series final, saying they were going to hammer us. Well, their reward is an early ticket home from this World Cup. More than 50% of the sides qualify for the finals and they still couldn't make it.

Also, goes to show the big mistake the ICC made with Sri Lanka and England getting set venues for QF matches. Only the hosts - Australia and NZ - should've got the fixed venues, like they did in 2011. Now, Sri Lanka have been robbed of a potential QF at the MCG (which was initially allocated for England) where they could've got a very large crowd given the huge Sri Lankan community in Melbourne. Instead, they will have to play their QF in Sydney.
