Ireland's bowling is a real problem, they badly miss a spearhead like Rankin.
Get the feeling India will haul down any total.

Their best bet I think is to chase, that way their fate rests on the batsmen.

As good as India have bowled and fielded so far, they don't have world class consistency.
Pie chucking mode could be around the corner.

I think everyone's waiting for India to put in a poor one, but don't see it in this game. Think the RSA game gave them real confidence, there are only 3 really good bowling/fielding teams here, and RSA is one - India did well there, and then their own bowling and fielding stepped up...

To think though, would India be on top of the table if Ishant Sharma was here

I didn't expect this lot to fire, who knows maybe he would have got it together?

Isn't it funny though how India and Pakistan can just flick a switch and suddenly they're world beaters.

A bit of wishful thinking here after last night's extraordinary night in Adelaide, but...

How good would it be if the Irish could pull off an upset here (which would cement a QF spot)???? Would love to see them win here, and rub more salt into England's wounds and the ICC's decision for a 10-team World Cup. And if the Irish win, the Saffers still won't be guaranteed a QF spot and a very small chance they could be eliminated.

3/156 after 33 overs. Lost Porterfield a couple of overs ago when he was looking good.

The Irish don't lose wickets in the next 10 overs and a chance they could get close to 300, which will be a competitive total.

Niall O'Brien needs to stay there if they are any chance of getting close to 300. Those two wickets in the last couple of overs could slow the Irish down.

And just as I type, a six!

259 all out.

Its a decent total but given the bowling for Ireland, India will certainly chase it down. Still anything could happen.

Ireland's lack of bowling strike power will cost them
But really solid performance from a team with so little experience

Sharma with the second best batting average for an opener behind Amla and ahead of Sachin
Feels dirty....
