I defended Hughes in the last game, in this one there is no excuse for batting at SR 55.00.

He's obviously trying to play the anchor innings and then accelerate towards the end to even up the strike rate, but he's far too crap a player to do that every innings. He's just going to slow everyone down like today.

Well done Faulkner, hilarious that Ishant is still playing. Since he lost that extra yard of pace he is nothing.

Sharma is a pretty good test bowler and he has carried their attack here in Australia.

I really dont think anyone is gonna make the ball talk on those roads in India, the only real option is to vary the pace and he has never really been that type of bowler who can deceive with variations in pace, he is pretty much a test bowler for mine.

He's a promising talent that Faulkner. HAH batting for his average again regardless of the situation. Selfish, useless, garbage merkin.

Only person who can do that on a regular basis is MS Dhoni.

You play the anchor innings when your 4/30 down, then accelerate your dig at the end.

As an opener the worst thing you can do is have the anchor mentality when the bloke at the other end is scoring at a run a ball and the side is 0/50 or 1/50 after 10 overs.

We have Bailey, Clarke (when he is in the side) and even Voges now who can all steady the ship if we lose 2 or 3 quick wickets. Ferguson is brilliant as well in the middle order. We have plenty better players who can anchor a side, yet can score quick as well

These are the reasons Hughes needs to be dropped. Sunshine at the top of the order or give Warner another go

It's good having this late hitting ability lately. Big Show and Faulks at 7 and 8 is a good combo
