What pisses me off is that it was basically a free review, after the ten seconds lapsed.

If McCullum thought it was out he should have reviewed it immediately.

Firstly, Henry did appeal. However vociferous or not, it was an appeal. So to the Aussies moaning about that we can safely close that argument down.

Secondly, it was a NZ review. The umpires can go upstairs in a situation like that. It's the same as a stumping or a run out that goes upstairs directly from the umpires. It's been this way for years. The fact is he hit it, it did not hit terra firma, therefore he is out. Right decision.

Such a typically mong Marsh way to get out too. The middle order have been poor and 'world class' Maxwell failed again

Umpires allowed to have a look for sure, appeal or not
I do have a slight problem with going up because of the big screen and not live judgment

But hey, for once common sense came in and they sought the correct decision
I just wish they'd always use a common sense approach, way too many double standards

Example: Broad. He should have been told to eff off even if the umpire didn't see it at first

Weak appeal, but he did appeal.

Umpire chatted with BMac/Henry by which time the replay had been shown and the crowd went nuts.

I'm all for replays not being shown until a decision is finalised/cleared. Not sure how that works technology wise, but the issue here seems to more be a case of the umpire taking his sweet time making a decision and allowing technology to interfere as a result.
