I think he has done a solid job, but his captaincy is hardly anything to get excited about. He has cost us two test matches through horrible tactics. The wankfest at how well he has done and he is apparently irreplaceable is absolutely laughable.

I didn’t rate Smith all that highly either.

Not great, but he's better than Paine. Talks of the captaincy affecting his batting are completely unfounded when he's averaging 70 in charge.
