Gets his 100, breaks the record for the fastest century by a kiwi, walks off for Tea like he moved to 10 not 100, Class.

Amazing knock from McCullum. Gilchrist like. Great to see some amazing stroke play after what's happened over the last few days.

Full credit to both teams and the way they've conducted themselves today. This is what cricket is all about.

From the games standpoint that was a great day for NZ. But just completely nowhere near the priority given what's happened. A lot of touching tributes too.

All rather surreal, obviously there was serious consideration given to calling the test off - no idea what the right thing to do was, but both teams IMO handled things with dignity and respect...

Fitting that McCullum and Willamson did well, both I think knew/played with Hughes... I think McCullum was in the zone as they say, on auto pilot

Highest ever second wicket partnership for NZ. It's been a wonderful performance, but very hard to appreciate at the moment.

Williamson brings up a brilliant 100. Again, no celebration

Williamson gets a ton, hardly celebrates. I know it won't happen, but I wouldn't complain if NZ drew level, declared, and then both captains declared their second innings for a tie.

Not sure if they're allowed to do that by the laws of the game, but I think all these players just want to get home to their families at the moment.

Still ODI and T20 to play/call off.

Home must feel so far away

McCullum should go after Lara's world record of 400....

Try and do a massive tribute and go for 408*

NZ 8/637 at stumps Day 3, lead by 286. Southee got out at end of day for quick fire 50. Corey Anderson and Taylor also got out for 50.

NZ well on top.

Talha bowled 22 overs and went for 136 runs at an ER of 6.18. At one point, when McCullum was bludgeoning him he was on track for the worst ER in a Test, ahead of infamous performances like Tahir, McGain and Hossain.

When's the declaration btw- I probably expected it with a few overs to spare last night…I can't see them batting for too long on day 4

3 players have hit double hundreds at a 100+ SR. McCullum, Nathan Astle and Virender Sehwag (3x)
