Really hoped for an England result to set up the tournament. Double header next week will be interesting, think NZ will get over Australia and Scotland to frustrate England.

It's still up in the air for me. Australia I think are ahead still and I'm confident they'll win the final.

I can't see us losing both of our remaining games.

It could very well come down to who smacks Scotland by the most.

I always thought Wales would be a stronger nation than Scotland in rugby league ?

Wales and France are both definitely stronger domestically. However the Scots qualified by (just) winning the European Cup in 2014, in a large part thanks to Danny Brough.

It would have made more sense if they used the 2015 Cup for qualification, which Wales won.

England need to win by 22 points against the Australia if they wanna be on top.
At least they'll know what margin they need to win by. .will depend if nz can manage to be flat track bullies and really hammer Scotland or continue to be lost in attack and come away with a scrappy win.

Well if Scotland win... it will be 'Steve Bradbury' for England making the finals... And lets face it this is the year for under dogs winning finals... Chicago, Ireland, Cronulla... (AFL doesn't count its all rigged anyway)

12 points isn't it?
11 points.

Australia's F/A is 46.
England's is 25.
If they beat Australia by 11, England will then be on 36 while Australia will be on 35.

New Zealand's F/A is -5.
For England to finish higher than NZ, they need to beat Australia by NZ's margin over Scotland minus 30. If NZ don't beat Scotland by 30 then England just need to beat Australia by any margin to finish higher than NZ.
