4 Nations 2011

I believe that the winners of the 2010 European Cup and Pacific Cup should join Aus, Eng and Nzl in a 5 nations comp.
European Cup - France, Scotland, Ireland, Wales, Lebanon, Russia, Italy, Serbia
Pacific Cup - Fiji, Somoa, Tonga, Cook Islands, PNG, USA, Jamaica

Im asking you how the format would work. I realise that PNG is playing in the 2010 four nations and not pacific cup, so im not sure how it will work completely, but hopefully you understand the basis of my idea. Even if there are floggings between coutries such as France vs Serbia, it will only increase Serbias ability and identity as a league nation.

As more nations play more international friendlies, such as Malta, South Africa, Czech republic, they can be added to either pacific or euro cup.
This will then lead to a competitive 16/18+ team world cup in perhaps 2017.

yeh the reigning pacific/euro cup team in the five nations could play the winner of their residing competition for entry into the next five nations.
i.e PNG in the 2010 four nations plays the winner of the 2010 pacific cup for entry into 2011 five nations.
perhaps it would have been better for france to stick with the four/five nations for 2010, and follow the same format as PNG.
ohwell

While it's good publicity to say in Serbia "France is coming" , it is not when after the game the scoresheet comes in. It might be better if we find some herritage Serbs playing pro.

by all means it would be ideal for some serbs to play pro in ESL or NRL (or even french domestic for that matter) even if there isnt, it would still strengthen the serbs if they're playing 4 or more games a year internationally. if the scores could be reduced by half, it would be an improvement.

Whatever they do, I hope it's better arranged than the 2009 Four Nations..

I'd say France will be the 4th Nation again, maybe a shock Wales appearance..

Australia vs NZ in New Zealand..

NZ and Australian matches against France in heartland areas or if they want it in Paris do some work to ensure a reasonable turnout..

England vs NZ matches in one of the 3 mid size League grounds (Wigan, Hull or Huddersfield)

England vs Australia at Elland Road or Brammall Lane etc etc...

Final at CoM..

The RFL had a great website for the Four Nations then pretty much left the website as the one and only promotional tool...How they didn't fill out Wigan is beyond me when the tripe in the other code gets 80,000 around the UK...

.

what was wrong with it?

and playing at big football grounds is'nt the answer...especially when big football clubs don't want us to play on their pitches...

the reason we got to hull, wigan, huddersfield is because those are RL grounds too..we go to elland road..because they are skint and don't mind our RL pounds...the reason we went to the stoop is because none of the decent sized football grounds in london want us,QPR don't need out RL pounds like leeds do because QPR are incrediable wealthy now..

man city don't want us or need us @ CoMs

united won't have more than one game of RL played on there a year..and even fergiue has a sh*t fit about that..

so what do you want us to do???? cos for some of the things that you want you might as well ask to have a knock around on center court at wimbledon...you'll have more chance

^^I didn't know it is that hard for RL to get stadiums in the UK ...

Still there is the problem that Wigan was not a sell out and the stand closed in Elland Road. The low turnout got everyone worried for RL in UK..

Yeh, I see your point Spud, no use playing at soccer grounds if they don't want or need you there..

I think it was just disappointment at the Wigan turnout and the Elland Rd top tier being closed, but Australia have to look at their backyard as well..

No sellout for the WC match at the SFS, 15,000 at the semi and 27,000 for the cracker of a final of the 2006 Tri Nations in a 45,000 stadium is not good..

But it is this year that is my current whinge, I'm sure I'll get to complain in the 2010 Four Nations...
