That was one of the worst/earliest scrum breaks i have ever seen
The Storm push everything they can to the absolute limit....they do it well and is one of the main reasons behind their success.
They push the rules and the officials to the limit and have for a long time.
They put it to the refs to make a call and on Friday for one of the first times the officials made two correct calls and look at the sooking and winging.
The only thing 'unusual' about the calls is that things like this are usually let go for the Storm.
Brown said it best.
"Melbourne play within the rules that our game and and our officials allow them to....."
"For years it would have been very easy for the game to change and stop them, but they dont want to change"
Smith is a smart arse
What was their cry a couple of seasons ago???
Integrity.... thats it
Yeah lots of integrity and playing within the spirit of the game...
The worst thing is they would still be great without all this sh*t
They can play tough and control the speed of the game with a quick line speed and controlling the speed of the ruck. All the f**king sh*t that slater, quinn, smith, blair and co. go on with to push the officials and the rules to the limit only makes them look like a buch of pricks and makes the game much less attractive as a product....
Put your hand up Melbourne and say yep, we broke way too early, and yep we usually are so disciplined and push the rules to the brink really successfully, but we were a second off on friday night.
Show some integrity....
