Hopefully Samoa can pull off a World Cup like second half performance here.

Yeah, that wasn't going to happen.

Great performance by Australia in the first half, but the second they let themselves down a bit - even if they scored a couple late tries to blow the score out more.

That said, this Samoan team should have beat both NZ and England, so perhaps this bodes well for the Final.

Samoa definitely should have won both their first two games. It seemed the refs really had it in for them.
Roberts: can't win you a game, but can certainly cost you one.

Simply we need to put one nation in for 4 years. The performance of samoa shows massive potential at this level bar ben roberts.... Png and wales where cannon fodder, france went ok v england belted by aussies and kiwis.
Rugby union shows with 6 nations and rugby championship time needs to be invested over long period. Nrl has now set up office in fiji, png with samoa next on agenda. We have big change as a code don't mess it up.
Kiwis v england are building a good rivalry the test series next season will heighten this, France i don't know but need regular match v england.

Ben Roberts, most hated man in Samoa. Was Australia's best player by far.

I was at the game today, great atmosphere with over 18000 ppl attending.
They have got to get Samoa to play NZ during the Origin period next yr to keep up the momentum.

Id prefer a nz v pac islands alongside origin, all players have to be committed to an island nation (including png). This and no switching for at least 4 years!
