I think he’s batting too low, batting him at 7 was ridiculous. Neser should of played if that’s the case.

He bats 4 for WA. Even 6 is a completely different role.

I still think he should bat 5 and Head 6. It's not gonna change the way Trav plays....

Our problem in England has always been scoring big totals (aside from when Smith became Bradman last series).

300 is definitely something to bowl at though, as England have only really been scoring 250-300 since 1st innings at Edgbaston. Looks like it will be another 2nd innings shootout.

Strange team Aust picked... but neither side will be entralled with day 1 I guess, Poms a bit happier especially given the depth in that Australian batting - only #1 and #11 would be considered bunnies

Woeful. Now with 3 specialist bowlers we are in damage control. All those starts wasted against a mediocre attack.
bit harsh - Anderson and Broad speak for themselves, Wood is terrific, and Woakes is a home town hero

Anderson is past it.
Broad I'll give you.
Woods is OK rather than terrific, the speed gun doesn't excite me as much as some people.
Woakes has bowled well.
Ali who you haven't mentioned is Mediocre x 1000.
I stand by my mediocre rating.
Well, Woods is fast...

Ali is plod, yes, but the pace attack in their conditions is good, your bats got starts, that's really the problem, very un-Australian to not build on them

We made them look good and we've got some passengers in our side starting with your good friend Mr Warner.

Davey makes broad look like the Bradman of bowlers...

Your batting lineup is interesting, I don't know that many people thought Marnus was as good as some were making him out to be... Khawaja is a fine player, but like Davey can't be around much longer - Smith is great, but not as astonishingly great as he was, Head has been terrific... Marsh remains Marsh, and man we'd all like Green but he's got to do more that seem like he could be a world class all-rounder...

But aside from Davey I am not clear who you're referring to - serious question... they haven't been great this series, but not sure I'd call them passengers yet

While I don't think he's good, Marcus Harris (or Labs) opening has to be better atm than Warner?

Davey has done an ok job this series apart from the last test. He still shits on Harris

standards for Australian opener must be low these days then - and regardless of who he shits on, Broad owns him in the most spectacular way... given they decided Marsh and Green had to play, one on a single brilliant knock (fair play) and the other on potential, Marnus should have opened imo, and play the spinner

As much as I don't rate Harris he hasn't played a test in 18 months. And in the last test he scored more runs than David Warner.

If we win/draw this test then giving him a chance in the dead rubber and a home Summer might be the way to go. Either him or Renshaw at this stage.

Its time to start planning and Davey ain't Steve Waugh, he doesn't need a send-off and his form doesn't warrant it.

I'd be picking someone new for the first test of our summer. Only play Australia's little hero Davey in the Sydney test

Bancroft should be given a shot - would have played in this series if they'd picked him on his elite shield stats - no-one came close

just 1 of many ruthless decisions not made during this series (on both sides)
