why keep bowling our main bowlers? Where's Marnus and his medium pacers and Green "third paceman".

I guess they know they wont be bowling a second innings but still...
THIS. I feel like Cummins just does not have the higher end strategic thinking. What on earth is there to be gained by putting up our strike bowlers?

I think the real question is, how many buckets of KFC has Bairstow been promised to make his ton?

it is day 3. Not day 5. Getting enough runs to remove the need for the 4th innings takes away so much of the help we get from the rain

That's sensible cricket if you can allow a draw. England must win the game.

Look at their rate of scoring. As if England are worried about scoring 50-100 runs. They need 10 wickets first and they need time on this pitch to get them.

You're not factoring in there's still 2 full days left and although it's going to rain as soon as it stops they're going to be rushed on and Australia are going to be batting in brutal conditions for an hour here and hour there where it's overcast and swinging.

Poms need 10 wickets.
Poms need to win the Test to keep the Ashes alive.

Poms need to be bowling.

I'm happy to watch the ginger bat.

Australia are going to need a day and a half washed out to survive, i can't see them lasting 3 sessions the way they're batting.
