Vettori will have to decide what he's doing soon, and I believe he does have a meeting soon with McCullum, Hesson etc to discuss that.

I reckon he might use the WC as his swansong. If fit he'd still be a huge asset to us. Nathan McCullum goes ok but still nothing on Vettori.

Rod, I agree but surely he has to be match fit. You can't carry squad members, not when there are restrictions on squads. I agree he will WANT to have a swansong but maybe it should be in the T20 WC rather than the 50 over one. Easier to bowl Vettori straight out and just take him off the field.

I'm sure he would WANT to play for NZ...whether he is physically able to is another question. His body looks like it is at the end.

That's not what he said to McCullum and Hesson yesterday apparently.

Seems to be fine to play Big Bash.

Not putting himself up for a NZ cricket contract this year and therefore playing the whole Big Bash (ie. 4 overs max, not strenuous) was always a part of his recovery plan.
