Rd 1 Warriors were on fire and we were under done. We have grown in fitness over the 6 games since. I think the last few seasons we’ve started so fit but tired that we’ve burnt out early. This season looks like they went easier on the boys preseason and they are growing in fitness rather than burning out, but it’s early days.

Sadly we fell short in the last leg to enter May at 4-4.
Disappointing right now but a 4-2 run over 6 games with a combined losing margin of 6 after losing the first 2 is a great foundation to build the season on.

Winning in Townsville and NZ is really really hard. I'd like to think we are good enough to jag a win out of one of those though!

Tonight's loss was a big step backwards as we had the chance to really cement ourselves in the 8. If we wanna play finals tonight's game was one of the ones you have to win!

I knew Brisbane would play like that. They always come to play against us. If you're 5-10 percent off your game you get your pants pulled down in the NRL.

The talk of 9-3 and 8-4 was unjustified I think!

We are a team that will imo finish between 7th-11th.

Last nights games are the games you have to win and if we play like that against Newcastle and don't defend better we will be 4-5.

What I'm saying is people were getting ahead of themselves I believe....... not just on this forum but in general as well!

We can't be cocky and I stand by that! It's also like the boys who just thought they could turn up second half and it'll just happen. That's not how it works in the NRL.

If you want to talk about posters being arrogant, let's discuss you trying to justify your use of the term 'muppets' instead of using it as a chance to take it back and move forward from it.

There is nothing wrong with confidence in the supporter base, it should be encouraged. It's what gets people behind the team and out to games and as a club that plays in front of more cold blue seats than red and green shirts, it's needed.

I made the term muppets as a general term for a couple of guys who I think we're kidding themselves and I've said before that game 9-3 is unrealistic. Yes they can voice that opinion but I can voice mine in reply. That's what a forum is.
