1. The knights responded brilliantly to Stoney at half time
2. The knights didn't fade in the second half like most games this year.
3. The knights dominated the ruck in the second half learning that this part of the game usually wins most games
4. Mullo finally stood up and took the game by the scruff of neck when it was most needed.
5. The ability to score 26 unanswered points in one half of football under extreme pressure which should give them great confidence in the games ahead.

There's a 6th positive.

Danny Wicks getting replaced after his ' spell '.

Seriously, have you ever seen a bloke who lost so much conditioning from not playing a game in a fortnight? He was super slow and immobile in the marker and A position in the defensive line, he was completely unfit, and he'll end up costing us a game if he isn't muzzled and put in jumper 19.

2 minutes after coming back from halftime, the Cowboys got a line dropout and Wicks, fresh off a 14 minute halftime break, had his hands behind his head trying to get in as much oxygen as possible.

He made one good run of note last night. The rest of the time he was a hindrance.

For the good of the team, make him expendable, please.

Either get his finger out and play like a first grade prop forward, get his commitment levels up on the training paddock, or p*ss him off to the Real NRL.

You can carry him in Round 1 or 2, or 10.

But not in must win games.

I missed most of the second half as I wondered out of the pub in drunken stupor thinking all was lost :(

You are certainly right there. You also need to look at his tackling technique which is not of a first grade standard. In the majority of times, his first point of contact is not his shoulder but an arm grab which makes the tackle pretty ineffective.

He's just a weird shape for a first grade prop. He is all upper body. This big prop forward with chicken legs. Its half the reason he has no drive in defense. Because all his strength comes from his upper body and sheer size of it.

Biggest thing for me was Mullen's second half. rarely if ever has he had a big second half, and that was just what was needed. He has faded badly all season in the second half. I am glad he stood up when we needed him, and i am assuming playing against thurston and i am hoping stoneys words got that out of him.

Yea his technique is very poor. I am guessing that it has a lot to do with his condition at times. Its hard to keep your shape as a defender in tackles when your barely able to get onside from the previous ruck.

and i agree with BVM that his bursts out of dummy half were buderus-esque

I think he was implying that you weren't "hard" enough and you gave up "pre-maturely" ;-)

OOoo the nasal delivery people on the radio! Haha I thought he meant AAMI as in the insurance maybe ... I really can't explain why
