The "5 year" label was given by someone else not actually related to the delivery of whatever plan SK proposed and was latched onto by the media and a heap of nuffies on internet forums once it was clear SK wasn't going to succeed.

But let's not ruin the OP's attempt to put extra shit on our club given that his club's only plan for success involved illegally assembling a team based around 4 or 5 players willing to accept brown paper bags to stay in Drearytown.

Why did SK propose a 5 year plan if he was only contracted for 3 years? It doesn't add up. It makes a mockery of himself and the eels. A new coach will have a different approach thereby making any plans by the previous coach redundant. It should not exceed the length of the tenure.

The length of the contract is not that relevant.....as there are typically clauses that allow either side to terminate the contract early anyway (with penalty). The horizon problem arises largely from our Board election cycle....most everything else flows on from that (the terms of coach contract, the terms of player contracts....and other poison pills these f**kwits swallow).

So you reckon we should avoid playing against cheats in the finals? Between '06 and '09 we did it three times, but we've learnt our lesson.

We definitely haven't played against cheats (or anyone else) in the finals ever since.
