Hughes has been handling the spinners just fine.

And Herath is better than anyone India has.

I want 10 an hour from the 2 HAHs over the next 5 overs.

strike rate in the 60s, Phil Hughes is surely channeling the great Geoffrey Marsh here
You can't look at that stat in a vacuum. Has to be seen in context. The 2 opening derps threw away their wicket. Bailey was doing little. Hughes has been the reason that hasn't descended into another collapse. He's given us a chance to go after it in the last 15 and set a reasonable total.

If he gave his wicket away like the rest it would have been game 2/3/4 all over again.

Meh, Hughes has done what he has had to do. Hasn't been pretty but at least he is still out there.

Bailey's 17 was far more painful to watch.

That said, Dussey making it look pretty easy.

David Hussey scoring at more then a run a ball

I assume he has to make up for he partners slow scoring rate....

Doesn't mean jack if your crap score gets chased down in 20 overs.

They'll be lucky to get 230 here

I agree, that was torture. He faced 42ish balls for his 17, so a full 7 overs. What an absolute waste.

Bailey may as well have come out and gotten bowled 1st ball. That way, at least Hussey would have put the balls Bailey wasted to some use.

Over the years, we have seen some timeless knocks in the game of cricket. This season was no exception...

The two timeless knocks that have come out of this cricket season are Quiney's 9, closely followed by Baileys 17..

Hughes is comfortably handling Malinga and Herath better than anyone else in our lineup.

India have no truly world class bowlers.

Predictions of epic failure over there for him are so misguided.
