Wonder if it was a masterstroke resting Lee from this game
A batting wicket, he would have gone for plenty id say, Siddle was the most economical bowler for the match. Next game is at the same venue, lets see how Lee does. They will probably rest Bracken or Johnson

White guides them home again.

He has pretty much sewn up his spot for the Champions Trophy. I just want to see him bowl a couple of overs with the changes made to his action.

Am I misunderstanding you - are you suggesting they axe Strauss and Collingwood? The only two batsmen they have scoring runs?

Yeah. I understand that they are England's best performed ... but I can't help feeling that they just lack that next level of skill or imagination in their batting.

I reckon it is always a bad sign when players regularly get runs but their side doesn't win games.

I think the England selectors need to bit the bullet and get a complete culture change in their ODI squad.

Pick a young captain, pick dynamic young cricketers. They may get flogged for a while but they will grow.

At them moment they seem to be aiming to pick the side that will get beaten by the smallest margin, if you know what I mean.

In the last week, Lee, Jayasurya, Tendulkar and Ponting have won games for their teams. Experienced performers, and over the past few months for England.... it has been Collingwood and Strauss, i don't see the point in ousting them for a shock effect. Yes, you need a culture change - but that starts at the very top, not just the top of the playing group (especially if thier the only ones performing.)

Rest Watson and Open the batting with Johnson. I can't believe they rested Lee the bloke has had 6 months off ffs. Bracken needs a break too. I'd get Voges and Hopes in for a game also.

Thats the whole point, he kept getting injured so with the series won what was the point? He gets injured in a meaningless game and they probably wont win the CT

Why would Bracken need a rest? He has done very little for 6 months

Rest Bracken because he is garbage??? I'd rather see Lee bowling than that queer girly looking Bracken.

I remember clearly Jacques Kallis had a one game rest in the 20/20 world cup this year, Predictably SA turned into a rabble in his absence.

Perfectly understandable.

Btw i am stoked that Strauss is being exposed as a sh*tty captain.
