He obviously put himself in a position where he had to survive another ball. But Cook's wicket is much more valuable and he removed any risk of them losing that.

I'm not saying it wasn't negative- it was. But I can see the logic behind it.

To be honest, I gave Cook less of a chance of being there at stumps than Carberry.
