Can someone explain the Te Moko for me please..
What does it signify, etc??..
It's usually personal to the person who carries it...
You would have to ask him directly.
It could be a generic pattern like KPs... Although who knows.. KP may have got it done properly.
I have one on each shoulder... Which has my genealogy through my parents. My mum is my left shoulder and my dad is my right shoulder.
I'm lucky as I've got 2 mates who are Ta Moko artists and ones from my mums area and the other us from my dads.
I've got a mako(shark) incorporated on my mums side as she comes from an area notorious for sharks.
And I've got an eel on my dad's side... as he comes from an area well know for its tuna(eel). I also got the eel shaded slightly blue and yellow... As I've been a parra fan for a long time. I've taken a fair amount of shit over it lately...
