The sides genuinely hate each other. Look at Siddle and Anderson at the Gabba. Siddle ran in from about a mile away to give Anderson a send off after Australia won the test. Its made great television.

Johnson as excellent as he has been in this series has also been absolute rubbish in others. He doesn't have the consistency of McGrath or Steyn, he's not at that top level of fast bowling (yet).

I don't have a problem with a fast bowler being aggressive and throwing in a few words and stares, but it does get a little annoying to carry on at Sreesanth/Tino Best levels for someone as inconsistent as Johnson.

He may be an enormous, irritating cocksmoker on the field, but I tend to take a view of that being fair enough as long as no lines are crossed (can still give it to them in here for being dicks though!).

I remember watching Philander in Test a little while back stopping and giving boorish, turd-faced stares after literally every ball that I watched.

Annoying as all hell, but f**k me he bowled well and backed up his typical fast bowler antics with a solid performance.

But yeah, each to their own.
