Ultimately the rules need to be changed. I've got no issue with that being out, but this fingers under the ball stuff goes directly against the fact you can't utilise the ground to gain or maintain control. Two fingers under a ball with the rest of it in the grass is probably less legal than a guy rolling over and pushing the ball into the grass while it's fully in his hand
