6 hours of Brian Smith bashing...

I can gaurantee that there will be 6 hours of Smith bashing from 12pm Sunday on 2GB. It will be an absolute free for all. Hadley will again attempt to push his agenda to have Smith sacked as head coach. Of course it will never happen but Hadley won't give up.

It's sad, but for the first time I think I agree with him.

I personally cant stand the continuous call team BUT..... they are just saying what everyone else is saying .. that is all the fans, the other officials, the other players and the other commentators..... that is -

1. Why is smith playing players out of position ????
2. Why does he persist with Wagon at 5/8 ????
3. Why doesnt he promote young players from Premier league when their form deserves it and the players in 1st grade are so sheltered ??????

Smith is such an arrogant son of a bitch that it will just be like water off a ducks back, hence my previous post about responsiblity....

Nothing will change next week. You can bet your house on the fact that Wagon will still be the 5/8th - nothing is more certain!!!!!

I say even though I hate being the laughing stock of the league - christ we deserve it.

The only reason we are just out of the 8 is because of the talent we have at our disposal.. one wonders what Brian would do with a team like Souths .. they simply would never win a game.

Get stuffed the lot of use, Stop blaming the bloody coaching staff. As Brian Smith walked out of the stadium at 11pm last night by himself he looked like he was about to cry, I walked with him and he told me that "It just didn't go to plan" Guys he was upset and discrased as a coach. I felt so sad for him, Maybe it's not always Brian, I also walked with JT later after that and he said "They just played discraceful". Anyway Peoples, what Im trying to say is maybe it isnt the Coaches this time, Maybe it's the bloody players, Seriously what did the coach do wrong. They just got off to the wrong start, Lost the ball, And then Cowboys scored off a bomb, It all went wrong from there, Then the 2nd half Smithy must of got into them and look how they came out and played, Bloody brilliant. Give the coach a break and I don't care if no one else believes in me here but I will stand by Smithy until his time at the club is up.

Hadley is a *edited* but he also has a few mates.

Good to se no one blaming injuries, we may not have the depth to win a preiership, but we have the presonell to be the lower ranked teams.

BS should be bashed, his game plans and selection criteria, is not working.

Look, I know it's easy to sit back and blame the coach when the wins don't come but I think Smith brings the criticism on himslef alot of the times. He just persists with strategies that no one can make any sense of and peole get frustrated because week in week out his selections and strategies continue to defy logic.

Last year I defended Brian because we played most of the year without Hindmarsh, Cayless, Dykes & Vella. This year there are no excuses. He must get the side to perform or move aside. It's a very tough job coaching but at the end of the day if you're not performing you should be held accountable.

That pretty much sums up my feelings Parraren. Last year I defended Smith. No longer, it's almost as if he's afraid of making the finals and is harming the team's chances by some of his bizare selection policies.

it always has and always will come back to the coach when there is a lack of success... fact of life. i saw the post match interview with bs and he looked absolutely gutted and said there were a majority of players who needed to look at themselves and their attitude after their effort last night. this has gone on for too long and players need to be thrown back to PL and replaced with players who are willing to give it their all.

dean widders claimed they had a 'poor preparation' - why??? they all knew who they were playing, had a week to prepare. Is it the coaching selections, strategies (i'm sure bs doesn't tell them to drop the ball near their line to add pressure), or the players???

enough is enough - something has to happen!

Was that plan in the 1st half to have Dykes use the cross field kick to Sideshow's wing in an attempt to score everytime we got into NQ's 20.

It was the most boring 40 minutes of Rugby League I have witnessed, but cause we have some of the most fickle fans in game at least the bar line was short cause you gits wern't there!

He isnt only bagging out Brian Smith but the Eels team in general. Anyone who hates parramatta and want to hear the call team completely try to humiliate them tune into 2gb 873 right now.

im not bagging you specifically ParraMatt, please don't take this personal, but: tell me honestly,
if that weren't brian smith, if that were a player walking out after the game feeling that bad because nothing he did went to plan, would you bag his form, or feel bad for him? everyone?

Do any of you realise what a tight, ridiculous, strict regime Brian Smith runs as a coach?

No wonder the players aren't putting in. They don't enjoy their football under Smith. Football, training, and the Nazi like regime he runs off the park is a chore.

Of course he should go, then the players might start enjoying themselves more.

*edited- sorry*

Football is professional, but it also should be fun. I admire the fact no Eels never get in trouble off the park, but surely a line has to be drawn so the players actually want to play for the Eels?

Many players are fed up, and have been for many years with the ridiculous strictness of the set up at Parramatta.

Did Brian Smith drop the opening bomb, or was it Eric Grothe?
Was it Brian Smith or Eric Grothe who missed the tackle that led to the second try?
Was it Brian Smith or Matt Petersen who dropped the Dykes bomb when attempting to put it down for a try.
Was it Brian Smith who opened the hole that let Travis Norton plunge over for the match winner?
Was it Bian Smith or Luke Burt who bombed a certain try with about five minutes to go?
Be VERY disappointed in losing the match, I know I was.. but cut this SHIT talk out about blaming the coach for what was a hapless effort by the players. FMD.
Eric Grothe had a shocker in the first half. Did some good things after half time but was away with the fairies in the first 40 minutes.
Justin Toulos looked VERY good, and I thought Wade McKinnon played very well also. I am afraid though Luke Burt is VERY VERY ORDINARY in the centres. If I wanted to be stronger would probably say HOPELESS. At least he has strength of character to stay and not do a runner like sooky Lyon.
