Yo Parra Pete...everyone knows Smith was not responsible for those mistakes. However:

IS HE RESPONSIBLE FOR PUTTING PETERSEN, DYKES IN THE TEAM? Yes.

IS HE RESPONSIBLE FOR LEAVING DANIEL WAGON AT FIVE-EIGHTH WEEK IN WEEK OUT DESPITE IT BEING BLOODY OBVIOUS HE IS SHIT IN THAT POSITION? Yes.

IS HE RESPONSIBLE FOR LOCAL JUNIORS WHO SHOW PROMISE PISSING OFF TO OTHER CLUBS AND SUCCEEDING AFTER BEING STARVED OF FIRST GRADE FOOTBALL AT PARRA? Yes

IS HE RESPONSIBLE FOR DEVELOPING MOVES AND TACTICAL PLAYS WHICH ARE SEEMINGLY NON EXISTANT IN OUR TEAM. Yes

Did Brian Smith drop the opening bomb, or was it Eric Grothe?
Was it Brian Smith or Eric Grothe who missed the tackle that led to the second try?
Was it Brian Smith or Matt Petersen who dropped the Dykes bomb when attempting to put it down for a try.
Was it Brian Smith who opened the hole that let Travis Norton plunge over for the match winner?
Was it Bian Smith or Luke Burt who bombed a certain try with about five minutes to go?
Be VERY disappointed in losing the match, I know I was.. but cut this sh*t talk out about blaming the coach for what was a hapless effort by the players. FMD.
Eric Grothe had a shocker in the first half. Did some good things after half time but was away with the fairies in the first 40 minutes.
Justin Toulos looked VERY good, and I thought Wade McKinnon played very well also. I am afraid though Luke Burt is VERY VERY ORDINARY in the centres. If I wanted to be stronger would probably say HOPELESS. At least he has strength of character to stay and not do a runner like sooky Lyon.

Using your geniused logic then we shouldn't give Smith any credit for season 2001.

Did he score a try that year?

Did he make a line break?

Did he make a tackle?

Did he kick a goal?

pffffffffft

Get stuffed the lot of use, Stop blaming the bloody coaching staff. As Brian Smith walked out of the stadium at 11pm last night by himself he looked like he was about to cry, I walked with him and he told me that "It just didn't go to plan

Was that plan in the 1st half to have Dykes use the cross field kick to Sideshow's wing in an attempt to score everytime we got into NQ's 20.

It was the most boring 40 minutes of Rugby League I have witnessed, but cause we have some of the most fickle fans in game at least the bar line was short cause you gits wern't there!

The plan probably was 'wait for the Cowboys to make a mistake in their own half and attack from there'.

Unfortunately for Parramatta, this was exactly the wrong game to use that tactic against the Cowboys.

parra pete you must be Brian Smith's father right? #-o

Sorry mate but your posts are so repetitively boring i've had to hit the ignore button to stop myself from being exposed to your rhetoric dribble. You remind me of the Iraqi information minister

I applaud your positive attitude to everything Brian Smith but I suspect you must be related to him somehow.

parra pete,

I've also had enough of your dribble.

Open your eyes.
Just take note of Dean Widders statement after the game.

THAT IS THE COACHES FAULT.
And I saw how angry the coach was after the game. Funnily enough, he was throwing the blame back onto the players.

I thought this was a team game.

Parra Pete, despite ALL your years watching Parramatta, I think you should disguard those blinkers you bought in 1986.

Chipmunk,

It has been posted here. I can't quote it accurately, but it WAS astounding...........something along the lines of "we weren't prepared for this game"
As I said, not quite accurate, but nonetheless, quite an amazing statement.
It was shown on this morning's Footy Show.

He said "The preparation for the game was bad" and he said to a channel nine reporter after the game. It was on this mornings Sunday Footy Show.
I originally thought I mis-heard what he said I was that stunned.

Ye of little faith. I don't know how you would have coped. I own a bad race horse, but I don't blamer the trainer when it doesn't win. Was it John Hawkes fault Lonroh got beaten at its last start.
How was its preparation? Was Hawkes at fault... or did Beadman ride a bad race?
Was Eric Grothe's inept performance in the first forty minutes ANYTHING to do with the loss. Why does the coach cop it. Was Nathan Cayless leading from the front? Did his ill disciplined effort have anything to do with the loss.
How good was Jason Robinson..lost control of the game. Did that have anything tyo do with rthe loss of concentration. It is TOO EASY to BLAME the coach for things that are out of his control when the players take the field. And after all they are SUPPOSED to be players of first grade standard.
Too many KNOCKERS.. out their, led by the biggest KNOCKER of all time..Suitman, aka Murray Farquhar (the bad judge), Steve Norton (the Pommy lock also known as Knocker Norton)
Show me your coaching credentials and experience before you sit in judgement of others. You are still wet behind the ears.

I am not knocking the coach Murray.

But you are knocking the players who are generally incapable of performing the job required and the coach was ultimately responsible for the retention and recruitment of those players. You have to remember it is a whole package with Smith, he is pretty much accountable for the entire football performance of the Club.
