That's right, this could really hurt our season. Our managing staff can put our rep players on all the bloody airplanes they like, but it remains to be a horrible scheduling conflict.

Most coaches will say they like their players playing rep footy.
Means you are having a good season and they come back better players.
Being in camp instills in them they belong at that level and hopefully they go up another notch.

Thurston has been a prime example of that in the last 12 months.

However in Noddy's case when Sticky dropped him from the SOO he came back a worse player. It's taken him 4 years and he's never been the same.

You generally do not replace your centres, and obviously the fact he can play centre and backrow helped with his selection.

The selection omission of Merritt is a joke but it isnt racial IMO.
