If Ryder fires during the world cup NZ will do well I see him as NZ's main threat over Taylor, Vettori and McCullum and more destructive than McCullum imo.

300 from here should be a formality whether Ryder departs soon or not but could be 330+ if he hangs around.

NZ need to get Franklin out of the top 6 aswell.

Taylor hasn't been a threat for 2 years

I am just not sure that we have better batsmen than Franklin to be honest. Perhaps only Williamson, but Williamson offers nothing much with the ball. Franklin scored a very good 62 against Pakistan the other day, batting at 6...especially seeing as he was in at the 17th over with the score at 68/4. He left at 205/7 in the 44th over.

To be honest, Taylor is the biggest issue in our batting lineup

Nope. His summer hasn't been that bad, it's just not up to his usual standard. I think he's in for a big world cup.

The difference here was remarkably simple. A guy got in and got a 100. Been saying it all summer, convert those pokey 40s-70s and we'll do alright. Don't covert them and then 300 is knocked down to 230-240, and our bowling attack is simply not good enough.
